This 24-hour course completes the required training to meet the job performance requirements under NFPA 1072 Standard for Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Emergency Response Personnel Qualifications. Course topics include, but are not limited to, chemical protective clothing, scene safety, product control, and decontamination. Certification in Hazardous Materials Operations is paired with Firefighter I Certification.
