Math Readiness for Healthcare

This course strengthens the foundational math skills needed for success on the TABE D and entry into healthcare programs and careers. Students develop proficiency in number operations, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, proportions, measurement, unit conversions, expressions, equations, geometry, data analysis, and problem solving. Instruction emphasizes the mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills assessed on TABE test. Health care applications include medication calculations, dosage conversions, time, and measurement. Students will be prepared to demonstrate TABE D math proficiency and apply these skills in health care education, training, and clinical settings.
