This 36-hour course completes the job performance requirements of NFPA 1001 - Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications to the Firefighter I Level and makes them eligible to complete the certification process in the State of Wisconsin. Students are required to complete Entry Level Firefighter before taking this course. Course topics include, but are not limited to, ropes and knots, communications, air monitoring, utility control, and firefighter safety and survival. Students must and take the Hazardous Materials Operations course to be eligible for certification.
