This course strengthens the reading, writing, and language skills needed for success on the TABE D and entry into healthcare programs and careers. Students build proficiency in grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, identifying main ideas, evaluating evidence, and writing clear, supported arguments. Instruction focuses on TABE reading and language standards, including applying English conventions and analyzing written evidence. Health care applications include provider-patient communication, charting, and following plans of care. Students will be prepared to demonstrate TABE D reading and language proficiency and apply these skills in health care education, training, and clinical settings.
